- Overheat Prevention: The red-lead thermistor continuously monitors air temperatures. It serves as a safety limit switch that signals the main control board to shut down gas burners if temperatures exceed safe operational limits.
- Physical Placement: The included mounting bracket securely positions the thermistor bead at a specific location in the ductwork or heater frame to capture accurate airflow readings.
- Wiring Loom: The integrated loom channels low-voltage electrical signals directly back to the furnace’s primary PCB.
